Bradley Kevin Ellis, 11 of 8901 S Villa Pl. Lester Ellis, 58, rural Blair. The patrol said Ellis and young Bradley, his grandson, were fatally injured when the pickup truck in which they were riding skidded of U.S. 18 just outside of Snyder about 8:45 a.m. Investigating troopers said it appeared the truck, which was traveling at moderate speed, skidded out of control for 162 feet before running off the road and overturning 1 ½ times. The vehicle came to a stop upside down and the youngster was thrown through the windshield. Both were dead at the scene, the patrol said.

City area resident died in traffic accident Sunday. Dead are Glen Dale Patterson, 19, 1009 Eagle Drive, Moore. Patterson died of massive internal injuries about 4 a.m. Sunday in South Community hospital after the motorcycle he was driving hit a median on Eastern just south of I-240. Police said Patterson was being pursued north on Eastern by Moore police office Larry Williams at speeds in excess of 100 mph when the accident occurred. They said Williams had attempted to stop Patterson for a traffic violation at a city part in Moore but Patterson fled.

Driver Held in Fatal Traffic Accident Moore – A 20-year-old man was being held on a manslaughter complaint Sunday night after one man was killed and several others injuried in a three-car crash earlier in the day in Moore. David A. Moose, 19, of Oklahoma City was killed when his car was hit on NE 12, just east of North Bryant, by a car driven by Kyle F. Matson of Moore, said Moore police. Matson was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and was being held in Cleveland County Jail. Moose was pronounced dead on arrival at St Anthony Hospital about 1:20 a.m., a hospital spokesman said. Leslie Ann Lewis, 19, driver of the third car and her passenger, Kathy Blackwell, 18, both of Moore, were injuried. Passangers in Matson’s car were Lori A. Walker, 18, Susan M. LeBoir, 18 and Ann E. Garraffe, 19, all of Moore.

She graduated in 1981 from Moore High School and in 1984 from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College at Miami. She worked for Quapaw express and formerly worked for Baptist Regional Health Center in the x-ray and dietary departments. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Quapaw. Greta and Lola Henshaw, May 13, 1963 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was 35 years old. Mrs. Coburn will lin in state at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home for friends and family to pay respects until Friday morning. Services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Moore, Ok on Friday, May 7 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Henshaw officiating. Internment will follow at Moore City Cemetery. A luncheon will be provided for the family at the church at 12:00 noon. Mrs. Coburn was an all around mother. She was very active in the PTA, and served as a homeroom Mom. She also spent much time at her son’s sporting events. Esther always put her children and family first and was always giving of her time and care to everyone who needed it. She had a wonderful personality and a sweet spirit. Mrs. Coburn was very intelligent, graduated early in 1980 instead of 1981. Barfield, John Mason, came into this life on August 26, 1963, to Phil and Alice Barfield. He joined Jesus Christ, his savior, In Heaven, on February 6, 2002. He was 38 years old at the time of his death. John was born in Okla. City, OK, graduated from Moore High School in 1980. He earned a degree in journalism from the University of Oklahoma in 1984. At the time of his death, John was employed by Tinker Air Force Base as a materials handler. On August 22, 1998, John married the love of his life, Marti Ann Ussery, of Blanchard. They made their home in Moore until the time of his death. Besides being an avid conversationalist, John loved playing golf and watching OU sports, however, his greatest pleasure (aside from being with Marti) came from sharing his faith in Jesus Christ. John thoroughly enjoyed teaching in the Children’s department of First Baptist Church, Moore. He and Marti had been children’s workers for the past three years and has seen their class grow dramatically. John is survived by his wife Marti of the house; his parents, John and Alice Barfield of Eufaula; three brothers and their spouses, Phillip and Lucinda Barfield, Shawnee, Paul and Annette Barfield, Welston, David and Carol Barfield, Broken Arrow five nieces and two nephews; Pallbearers are Larry Robertson, Dan Cox, Larry Hall, Paul Barfield, Vincent Walker and Odis Ward, Honrary pallbearer is Phil Wadsworth. Jeffrey Allen Harrison, 41, died on October 16, 2004. He died at home surrounded by family and friends after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Jeff was born on August 31, 1963. He grew up in Moore, Oklahoma and graduated from Moore High School in 1981. He attended Rose State College and continued his education at the University of Oklahoma. Jeff was an avid golfer and OU football fan. Nicknamed 'Chef Jeff' he loved to cook. He and his wife Chris shared the love of gardening and entertaining in their beautiful home. Jeff was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; three uncles; and one cousin. Motorcycle crash victim was Castro Valley man. Contra Costa County investigators have identified a man killed in a motorcycle crash near Bethel Island on Friday night as John Denn, 45, of Castro Valley. California Highway Patrol officers were summoned to the area of Gatewood Road around Piper Road at about 9:15 p.m. by several callers, one of whom reported hearing screams after an accident and another who reported a motorcyclist down in the roadway. Although initial reports suggested several vehicles were involved in the crash, responding officers determined the motorcycle collided with a barrier. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. The Conta Costa County coroner identified the rider as Denn on Saturday but was unable to immediately provide the cause of his death.

Services will be held 2:00 PM, Monday, June 7, 2010 at Grace Free Will Baptist Church located at 2323 SW 44th St., Oklahoma City, OK. Interment to follow at Norman I.O.O.F Cemetery. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.

Wesley Joel Miller

Wesley was born May 22, 1962, in Oklahoma City, to James and Delores O’Neil Miller. He was one of four children. He has one older sister, Vickie Miller Nicolle Clanahan. Wesley loved his nieces and nephews and spent a lot of time with Vickie’s family when the children were younger. He has one older brother, Mike Miller. While Mike was in the service in Okinawa Wesley stayed with him for a while and talked about it often. He has one younger brother, Kyle Miller. They enjoyed camping and going to the lake together. As a child Wesley attended Rancho Village Baptist Church where Brother Amos was a close family friend. Wesley also attended Regency Park Baptist Church where Brother Rayburn had a great influence on his life. Wesley began dating Debbie Friar in high school and became a regular attendee of First Baptist Church of Moore where the Friar family were members. The Miller family has been members of Emmaus Baptist Church since the early ‘90s. He attended Kelley Elementary School, Central Junior High and graduated from Moore High School in 1981. Wesley played the trumpet and was a member of the Moore High School Marching Band and the stage band. On July 15, 1983, Wesley married his high school sweetheart, Deborah Friar. This summer they celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary. Wesley and Debbie have three children: Christopher Cody, Thomas Christian, and Lora Catherine. Cody lives in Moore with his significant other Sylvia and daughter Khira. He works for UPS and attends OSU-OKC. Thomas is currently a senior at Southmoore High School. He has participated in hockey, wrestling and football. Lora is a junior at Southmoore High School. She is an honor student, a Link Crew member, played basketball in the past and is currently on the swim team. Wes worked for the Moore Dairy Queen during junior high and high school. He had a passion for photography and opened Photography by Wes. He specialized in senior pictures, weddings, children and sports. He started working for UPS in 2004. His last position was in the safety department. Wesley enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. He sometimes coached and loved watching his children play their various sports. He liked to grill and smoke meats for family get-togethers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father. Wesley loved water sports of all kinds. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Delores Miller. He is survived by his wife Debbie; two sons and one daughter: Cody of Moore, Thomas and Lora of the home; one granddaughter: Khira of Moore; mother-in-law: Ramona Friar of OKC; father and mother-in-law: Odell and Dee Friar of OKC; one sister and two brothers and their spouses: Vicki and Skip Clanahan of OKC, Mike and Lynn Miller and Kyle and Lisa Miller of Tahlequah; sister-in-law: Krista Friar of Seattle, WA; and sister-in-law and spouse: Colleen and Bob Horton of Fort Worth, TX; ten nieces and three nephews; and numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews. Wesley Joel Miller passed from this world, Saturday, November 12, after a brief, but valiant battle with stomach cancer. The family wants to thank the many friends, health care providers and co-workers who have supported Wesley and his family during this time. March 3, 1963 - Feb 20, 2012 ABILENE, TX Dale Leighroy (Scooter) Phillips, Jr., of Abilene, TX, was born March 3, 1963, in Midwest City, OK and passed from this life on February 20, 2012. Scooter graduated from Moore High School, Moore, Ok, in 1981 and from Abilene Christian University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He completed post-graduate studies in Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Scooter lived and worked in Abilene from 1989 to the time of his death. Scooter owned and operated Rebound Sports and Physical Therapy for over seventeen years and also opened Steps 2 Strides, a provider of rehabilitation services for special needs children. Steps 2 Strides has two locations, one in Abilene and the other in Denison, TX. He also served on the Board of Directors of Enterprise Investments, Inc., and Old Surety Life Insurance Company, both in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. From an early age, Scooter enjoyed all sports, playing baseball, football, basketball and golf. He was an avid OU Sooner fan - an interest he shared with his son. He was a varsity letterman in football at Abilene Christian University in 1984 and 1985, and during his senior season, set the single game record for touchdown receptions with four against Northern Colorado University in Greeley. He was named honorable mention all-star in the Lone Star Conference his senior season. Scooter loved life and lived it to the fullest. He enjoyed his work, sports, flying his airplane, and spending time with his family. Scooter was proudest of his two children, Brendan and Grace Ann. Scooter is survived by two children: Brendan, 16; and Grace Ann, 13; and their mother, Linda; all of Abilene, TX. He is also survived by his parents: Dale Phillips, Sr and wife, Kymber, Edmond, OK; and Karen Phillips, Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters and spouses: Mary Kay Hixson and Kevin, Moore, OK; Darsi Graham and Stuart, Edmond, OK; grandmother, Mahala Brown, Del City, OK; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February, 27, 2012, at Del City Church of Christ, 1901 Vickie Drive in Del City, Oklahoma.

Dec 17, 1962 - June 10, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Terry J. Walker, age 49, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 10, 2012. Terry was born December 17, 1962, in Oklahoma City, OK, to Arley McMillon & JoAnn (McMillon) Greene. She was a graduate of Moore High School, class of 1981. Terry received her LPN from Moore-Norman Vo-Tech in 1987 and her RN at Rose State in 1991. Terry worked at Norman Regional Hospital, then at Midwest Regional Hospital and for the Oklahoma City Department of Human Resources. Terry attended Grace Place Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Daryl Walker; their two sons, Daniel Joe Walker and Tyler Dale Walker, of the home; her father, Arley McMillon & wife Ruth Ann; her mother, JoAnn Greene & husband Jim; brother, Geary D. McMillon; and her sister, Balinda A. Hileman. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Grace Place Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Norman. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home, Moore, OK.

Sept. 23, 1963 - Sept. 23, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Keith Harris was born September 23, 1963 and went to be with the Lord on September 23, 2013 after suffering a massive heart attack. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maranda Harris. He is survived by his wife, Patty Harris; daughter, Marley; son, Karsten; his parents, Donald and Martha Harris; in-laws, Rev. Gary and Reba Divine. Keith was a graduate of Moore High School and Oklahoma State University where he was active in the Construction Management Society. Keith's past employment include Canam Construction, Edmond, OK; Manhattan Construction; and most currently Flintco, LLC. He was an active member of both Associated General Contractors of America and the Associated Builders of America. Keith was a humble and honorable man who always put his family first. He led his life in the likeness of Christ. He served as a Deacon, and as a Youth Sunday School Teacher at Southern Hills Baptist Church, OKC. We will not be the same without him, but we rest in the promise of our Lord that we will see him again. In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund has been established at Bank of Oklahoma, Keith Harris Memorial Fund. Family will receive friends during visitation Thursday, September 26, 2013, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Resthaven Funeral Home.
